  • Performing stress analysis for Alloy 600, 800 and X750 which are used in steam generator and annulus spacer between the pressure and calandria tubes in CANDU nuclear power plant;

  • Investigating the corrosion behavior and the mechanical properties of new casted Cr-Fe-Ni alloys for Primary Heat Transport System piping and components for CANDU Reactor Power Plant;

  • Simulate high temperature and high pressure environment for specific corrosion test and performing microstructure/micrograph analysis for the corroded metals;

  • Preparing alloys specifications for casting process and preparing metal samples for morphology characterizations, tensile test, hardness test and corrosion tests;

  • Conducting technical review meetings with the group members; providing engineering prospective to the project and preparing periodic progress reports; and

  • Procuring materials, spare parts, tools and equipment’s; reviewing and approving supplier’s documents

  • Collaborated with Petronas (Kerith facilities) in developing a new corrosion inhibitor and performed corrosion tests on various alloys used in oil and gas industry;

  • Assisted project manager in project schedule and budget and responded to industrial inquiries for metal testing; and

  • Managed and organized lab facilities and provided mentorship to graduate and undergraduate students
